To come home to yourself

May all that is unforgiven in you

Be released.

May your fears yield

Their deepest tranquilities.

May all that is unlived in you

Blossom into a future

Graced with love

John O’Donohue

I found the idea of fears yielding tranquilities touched my heart deeply when I read these words. This is my experience of it. Fear, like any emotion, is a messenger, and when we find ways to deeply listen and hear, it will reveal its gifts. It may hurt like hell in the process, and yet, when graced with love, fear can be your most compassionate friend.
